Renzo Gracie Lake Houston hit a competition milestone moment this past weekend with 15 students competing at JIU JITSU WORLD LEAGUE’s Houston 2020 event. It was the first time we fielded a tournament team as an academy. For many of our competitors, it was their very first competition and they learned a lot! We compete for many different reasons, among them WINNING, but just as important are the lessons we gain from the mats win-or-lose. With that being said, we’re proud of ALL of our students and know you will grow from the experience whether you achieved a medal or none at all.
Special congratulations to our students who made the podium (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place), including but probably not limited to:
- Ainsley Thornton
- Victor Aguilar
- Collin Stuart
- Austin Greer
- JR Collado
- Gabrielle Collado
- Jlyn Negron
The RGLH competition season will continue to grow from here with several students competing at IBJJF American Nationals (Dallas, TX) and the IBJJF Masters World Championship both within the next month.
Until then, check out some highlight photos of our RGLH students in action below.
